Ministries
Caring for others seems to be a part of the DNA at St. George and occurs in a variety of ways through good times and difficult ones, from celebrating new life to making hospital visits and honoring life transitions.
We have a fabulous Pastoral Care Team, a group of disciples with tender hearts and caring souls who reach out to those in our community encountering turbulence large or small. They assist our rector and deacon in being 'Christ’s hands and heart' in our parish and live out the gospel in various ways such as making calls, sending cards, praying for people, taking a meal to someone in need, making hospital and care facility visits.
“Seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself,” is what the Book of Common Prayer (p. 30) suggests we do, and we do just that!
